SOAR WITH THE EAGLES FESTIVAL at The National Eagle Center in Wabasha, Minnesota, will be held during the month of March. One of the special events this year will be a nature photography program March 13-14, 2010, by Deborah and Steve Stark. 

The program will be a digital presentation of their photographs along with discussion of the photos. Deborah and Steve are serious amateur photographers from Rochester, Minnesota, who have been involved with photography for more than 25 years. They became passionate for wildlife photography when they began photographing the eagles in Wabasha 4 years ago. They are primarily self-taught but have attended numerous seminars and workshops. Their hope is that their photography will show the beauty of nature and the importance of preserving it in the future.

One of Deborah’s images, “New Beginning,” was in the top 250 images chosen from all entries of the North American Nature Photography Association (NANPA) annual Showcase competition in Tier III. Her image will appear in the 2010 NANPA print journal, Expressions.

Another one of Deborah’s photographs of an American Bittern was selected as a semi- finalist in the 2009 National Wildlife Refuge System Photo Contest.

Deborah and Steve have also received recognition in other photo contests.

Deborah and Steve will also be available with a display of some of their work before and after the presentation.
